“E-WALK” VISITS THE SCHOOL

July 9, 2025

Twenty-one teachers and partners from the Erasmus+ E-WALK project visited our school. Over two days, we held meetings to advance the development of the application. They immersed themselves in our culture and participated in various school activities, such as the Sant Jordi dances and Atlètic sports activities with our 5th and 6th grade students. 

We had the privilege of interviewing Pepe Cunill, a professional hockey player. We would also like to express our gratitude to Patricia Reche for delivering the certificates to the town hall.
Our partners are: Croatia, Serbia, Cyprus, Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Portugal.

END OF THE PROJECT: HEALTH

July 9, 2025

Àngels and Judith traveled to Italy to attend the final meeting of the Erasmus+ project "Health."

During this experience, they had the opportunity to visit various primary and secondary schools (I.C Vito Fabiano; Borgo Sabotino, Borgo Bainsizza, and Borgo Sant Maria) as well as nurseries.

They were able to acquire important knowledge about a healthy lifestyle through the practice of sports and games and the incorporation of a healthy diet. In addition, they developed teaching skills by working together with other teachers from the associated schools with the aim of researching and producing course programs based on the theme of the project in question.

In this project, we have collaborated with schools in Turkey, France, and Italy. Now, each country is working to finalize the last details of this project.

LET'S START THE ERASMUS+ PROJECT: "Walk Around the Earth"!

Àngels traveled to Zagreb for the first meeting of our new Erasmus+ project, "Walk Around the Earth," focused on sports and healthy habits. Together with partners from all over Europe, we will work to promote an active lifestyle among our students.

One of the most exciting initiatives will be the development of a mobile app that will count the steps taken by participants. This will allow us to compete with schools in other countries and find out which country is the most active!

We are very excited to be part of this project and to share this experience with the entire educational community! Let's keep walking together towards a healthier life!

PROJECT COMPLETION: The Art of Creative Writing

Last week, Angels, Dani, and Mar were in San Clemente, a village in Cuenca, to celebrate the completion of the project: The Art of Creative Writing. The project aims to foster motivation and creativity among students through inclusive group activities that integrate art, writing, environmental awareness, and European artistic heritage, while developing language skills in various languages. The partners are: Ireland, Turkey, Spain, and Romania. During the week, they were able to attend different workshops and cultural visits in both San Clemente and Cuenca.

Last week, Cris and Dani traveled to Istanbul for the final meeting of the STEM project. Throughout this experience, we have gained significant knowledge about STE(A)M methodologies and have already begun to incorporate them into our school.

In this project, we collaborated with schools in Turkey, France, and Germany. Now, each country is working on preparing lesson plans to create a booklet that can be implemented in different schools.

It has been a wonderful experience to be part of this Erasmus project! Thank you.

TWO TEACHERS FROM THE SCHOOL HAVE BEEN TO TURKEY

This week, Eva and Cris, two of our English teachers, were in Turkey for the Erasmus+ project "Salut." This project began at the end of 2023 and aims to empower children to make healthy decisions, adopt habits that help them grow in a balanced way, and prevent health problems in the future. We are delighted to be working with teachers and students from Italy, France, and Turkey.

A few weeks ago, Dani and Àngels traveled to Ireland to continue with the Erasmus+ project: The Art of Creative Writing.
This project aims to integrate art into writing tasks to motivate students in their writing skills.
The partners are: Spain, Ireland, Turkey, and Romania.

SANT JOSEP SCHOOL PARTICIPATES IN AN EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE

On Thursday, September 19, Eva and Dani, both members of the teaching staff at Sant Josep School, had the privilege of participating in a prestigious educational conference. They gave a detailed presentation on the various Erasmus projects being carried out at the school. They also spoke about the benefits of implementing mindfulness practices, highlighting their transformative impact on student well-being.

PROJECT "ACT LOCAL, THINK GLOBAL"

Àngels and Eva attended the second meeting of the "Act Local, Think Global" project. It took place in Stuttgart, Germany. All the partners got together to talk about the latest actions to be carried out in the coming months. This project has had a major impact on our school, helping us to raise awareness among staff about climate change and sustainability in our classrooms, as well as adding many resources and activities to our teaching repertoire.

Teachers Mar and Laura from Sant Josep School traveled to Greece to meet with all the members of the Erasmus+ Speech project. They had the opportunity to visit the 16th Kindergarten School in Drama and enjoy various activities with its preschool students.

STUDENTS FROM LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY

For three weeks, we welcomed five students from the University of Hope in Liverpool!
They joined us to lend a hand with English activities in the classroom and even brought their own unique activities!  
This collaboration was not only based on sharing knowledge, but also on promoting cultural exchange and friendship.

We were delighted to welcome eight students from France and Turkey. They arrived as part of our exciting Erasmus project: Stem.
During their stay, they had the opportunity to explore and participate in activities that reflect our passion for science and technology.

The Sant Josep School went to Naples

October 25, 2024

The fifth-grade students at Sant Josep School went to Naples, Italy. At our school, in addition to English, we also study Italian starting in third grade. It is a language very similar to ours, which motivates them to learn it! They went on a sightseeing tour of the center of Naples, where they were able to enjoy its architecture, markets, and charming streets. They also visited the Cathedral of San Gennaro. This experience is part of the #ErasmusPlus project that we are carrying out at the school!

STUDENTS FROM LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY

Last year we received a special visit at our school. Students from Hope University in Liverpool joined us for a few days full of activities related to protecting our planet!

From the youngest to the oldest, everyone participated in workshops, talks, and practical activities on how we can make a difference in the fight against climate change. It was inspiring to see how our future generations are taking the initiative and concrete steps to create a more sustainable world.

CONFERENCE OF INNOVATIVE CENTERS OF CATALONIA

Dani, a fifth-grade teacher at Escola Sant Josep, gave a presentation at the Jornades de Centres Innovadors de Catalunya (Catalonia Innovative Centers Conference) organized by Pere Marquès. The presentation was related to gamification and games as quality educational tools. He also took the opportunity to showcase the Erasmus projects at Escola Sant Josep and some gamified proposals that we are implementing at our center! The presentation focused on explaining part of the STEM project that we are carrying out with schools in France, Turkey, and Germany.

L’Àngels, director of Escola Sant Josep, and Dani, a fifth-grade teacher, traveled to Romania to attend meetings about the Erasmus+ project we are carrying out at the center called THE ART OF CREATIVE WRITING. This project aims to bring children closer to art through creative writing. Schools in Turkey, Ireland, Romania, and Spain are participating in this project. It has been a truly enriching experience!

FIRST MEETING OF 'ACT LOCAL THINK GLOBAL'

January 19, 2024

We have had our first transnational meeting for the "Act Local, Think Global" project, which will run until 2025. In this proposal, we are participating with schools and partners from Turkey, Romania, and Germany. The main objective of the project is to "educate our students about climate change and what we can do to solve this global problem." The next meeting will be held in Stuttgart (Germany) next June.

LAST MEETING OF THE 'CITIES GOING GREEN' PROJECT

January 22, 2024

Aitor, a physical education teacher, went to Cyprus for the final meeting of the Cities Going Green project.
We have been working on this project for two years with partners from Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, and Poland.
The theme is related to sustainability and the environment. We have developed a digital game where students can create a city and make it as sustainable as possible, improving aspects such as water quality, air quality, and recycling.
We will implement this proposal with our students over the next few weeks!

BEE LEAGUE

January 22, 2024

The Bee League was created in collaboration with the KTET school in Kildare (Dublin). It is a project whose main objective is to encourage children around the world to learn the correct spelling of words while having fun interacting with students from other countries. Students are grouped into different teams and earn points based on various spelling activities/games. It has a gamification format with four competitive rounds that will take place at different times during the school year. The first will be at the end of November.

MOVILITAT IN FRANCE FOR THE 'STEM' PROJECT

January 22, 2024

Dani, Cristina, and Àngels are in Aix-en-Provence (France) to attend the STEM project. They have visited the Ecole Jeanne d'Arc, where they are being trained in this methodology. They are also participating in various activities so that they can carry them out with the students at our school. Germany and Turkey are also participating in this project, and it is proving to be a very productive stay.
 

FIRST MEETING OF THE 'HEALTH' PROJECT

January 22, 2024

On November 8, we held the kick-off meeting for the "Health Education And Active Lifestyle Turn Into Happiness" project, which will run until 2025. We are participating in this project with schools and partners from Turkey, Italy, and France. The main objective of the project is to "educate our students towards a healthy lifestyle by practicing sports and games and adopting a healthy diet." We will hold our next meeting in Espalion (France) in February.

TRIP TO BERLIN

October 25, 2023

Cristina, an English teacher, and Dani, a fifth-grade tutor, have held the first meeting of the STEM project in Berlin.
Partners from France, Turkey, Germany, and Spain are participating in this project.
This proposal aims to work with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) methodology, combining it with digital storytelling and gamification.
The meetings were very productive, and the first steps and actions of the project were established.
